Each combines zero-rated NHS dispensing with standard-rated retail, and the bookkeeping keeps the two streams apart. The VAT treatment is UK-wide and works in Glasgow as it does in England. The difference is the funding: Scottish contractors are paid through Scotland's own arrangements, and we build the accounts around those rather than the English FP34.
